Mixing bowls, measuring jugs and other cookware from the Pyrex range are made from borosilicate glass, known for its extra resistance, the glass is able to undertake high temperatures up to 300 degrees and a minimum temperature of -40 degrees. The glass is thermal shock resistant thus it is safe to put in microwaves, ovens and freezers. The handle makes it more convenient for transportation.
